In Which We Think Of Where You Might Like To Submit Your Work

Content For You

by Alex Carnevale

All the wonderful writers we talked about in the context of Will's syllabus on Thursday had me thinking where to submit this story I'm working on about a child psychologist who realizes she is actually a child.

Other great-to-classic ideas I have for stories on the backburner:

- Lindsay Lohan in Heaven: Who is she bff with?

- A porn star realizes everytime she has sex, someone dies. Suspensealicious!

- script idea: Naomi Watts plays a shiksa on a mission: to jump Liev Schreiber/Sabretooth's bones.

- a little world of forest creatures lives in a CEO's anus, Secret of NIMH-style reveal means they all die while engaged in intercourse with one another to repopulate the next generation.

When I start thinking too commercial, Will is always there to bring me back down to earth. He usually pitches me ideas for romantic comedies that involve mistaken identities and Sandra Bullock-The Net moments of panic. They're like Hitchcock movies with Ryan Reynolds. We also recently had this verbatim gconversation:

Will: Do you think what makes good art is the notion that it could as easily not exist?

Me: What possible sense does that make?

Will: Like roof shingles kindsa have to exist, therefore they are not art

Me: Why do roof shingles have to exist?
